Starbridge

Starbridge is a relatively small island that is roughly halfway between the two major continents of Vistral and Telemon. Because of its crentral location, it has become the center of all world trade, commerce, education, and politics.

Starbridge, and to a certain extent the world, is governed by a Council of Guilds and their Guildmaestres. Maestres are chosen primarily for their aptitude at dancing the dance of politics, intrigue, economics, and public opinion. If their maestre dances skillfully, the guild gains influence and power. If not, there are always other candidates.
